Aggravation
I have disengaged the word verification function for now because when I tried leaving comments on others' blogs and noticed it's not working (nothing shows up in the box), I tested my own and realized it too has joined the party.
I'm really aggravated with this and the other various issues Blogger has been having lately, but for now I'll suck it up and just complain - LOUDLY.
A new post will follow as soon as the photo upload lets me successfully create something decent.

Too bad it's not working right. There are lots of other blogging systems out there but Blogger is pretty good most of the time..
Trying to be positive..

Google Blogger seems to be the most widely used blogging service, which is why they also attract more hackers trying to crash them. I generally like the environment better. Xanga seems too have attracted the kid crowd, and MySpace is more for hookups.
I try to remember that they are free. Since I am not about to pay for web-hosting, I suppose I'll have to be content with Blogger.
Kenju has a point. Blogger is free and allows a lot of customization. I did start using Haloscan for comments and maybe the system is running better in the wee hours of the night/morning because I haven't had any problems lately.
I have problems with comments too. I see the red x in the verification box. Then it loads the second time for some reason. Who knows. I'm like the ones above, I just live with it since it's free.
Having trouble over at Tripod too. It began last Saturday and still hasn't been resolved. They are doing some advanced customization which now means I can't reply to a comment (not that I have many).
Checking in to see if you have an update and to wish you a Happy 4th of July weekend!

Just be sure to visit the blogger blogs until the rest of us are ready to move on.
A blogfriend has been calling it "Clogger."
I'm more frustrated with the blog hopping anonymous hate mongers who comment on blog after blog where the same subject/topic is being discussed or mentioned.
Hh
IT's so frustrating, but I also remind myself it's free and has many free features. Every since I switched to the Haloscan commenting scheme, I experience far fewer frustrations, commenting on others who have that comment system and other bloggers who are usually able to comment on my blog via haloscan. (They have an automatic install and they now email comment notification, whereas that used to be hit or miss.)
It also has a wonderful moderation capablity. I don't use it, but prefer to use their IP blocking feature if I am spammed or hit by hateful sorts.
I'll be checking out your archives. Glad to see you're still here writing terrific posts. I've been by and not able to comment and it's not always due to Blogger. Enjoy your 4th with Ed and your daughter!
