Quick Downdate

"Downdate" because it's not really going to be much of an update.

Looky there! Behind your backs I slipped right out the side door.

Since I've been gone, I have done all of the following: made plans for a short trip away within about three day's time, had the great pleasure of meeting a fellow blogger who was visiting NYC for his first time, driven through a tornado (not really but it fell two towns from where I passed and it sounds cool to say that I drove through it), went fishing again and this time got totally skunked, and totally ignored anything resembling a blog. For the last, I apologize - AGAIN.

The Outpost will be closed until I can take the time to stop by and visit all of those on my blogroll (so I can also update that) and those I have saved in my bookmarks. This will take some time because I read VERY slowly and I like to try to catch up on a few recent posts.

When I return, I'll be posting some newsy stuff about my fun visit with Don, as well as some other neat things. Oh, the Outpost won't be going anywhere - but I am testing the waters at an all-new site, soon to be announced.

Sorry I can't create a proper post right now, but summertime and new writing projects await.

My best guess is a week to ten days for an actual update.

Thanks for reading and take good care till I see you again!

Weary Hag

Even your can't stop to post posts are interesting.
I'll be here when you get back. Actually I won't be here. I'll be in my own place. But I will come here to visit. Unless you have moved. In which case I will follow the link to your new place..

I do wish I had been the blogger you met in NYC! My kid is leaving there in August, so I will only be a tourist there in the future. I still harbor the hope we can actually meet - in the same park we passed by each other last year.

Good to know you're okay. I thought that massive Bass had family that tracked you down and you had to go into the Fisherman's Protection Program

Gadzooks, this will be a long wait. But I'm a very patient person and so I will keep checking back...

Maybe I'll re-read some of your archived stuff, that's always fun here.

Your posts always make great reading, and I'll miss them if you are too busy to write. But it's very understandable, life happens.

Hi Carol,
I've been having a wee bit of blog-burnout too. Mine is partly due to a busy summer as well and also because my blog host Tripod has been acting up big time. I keep asking myself why I bother.
At any rate, I'll be peeking in here from time to time hoping to keep the connection I feel with you alive.

Enjoy the break. Have fun fishing, I've not gotten out this year, despite best intentions.

We all need a break from time to time, so, no worries.

All new and improved Cerebal Outpost? I hope the writing will stay the same.

I'm also thinking of the word "lowdown" here... as in "give me the lowdown."

Enjoy the break!

I think if you are going through something that is going to stress you, that maybe an outlet will be needed more than ever. Don't close down. Please?

Just take what time is needed... but use this as the outlet it is meant to be used for. You don't have to get personal... just a way to voice the stress. We will still love you, no matter what. I promise :)
