Air-traffic, indeed! I am surprised you had no mid-air collisions! Good show, Carol.

I took a pic of an ugly cuss in my trees yesterday, but it didn't turn out. I think it was a turkey buzzard - he sure was homely!

I am ready for my close up Ms. Demille!!

I love the leaning tower of piza bird feeders. Such a peaceful site.

Bravo, standing O!!!

KENJU - haha ... we get the turkey buzzards around here too. In fact, we get the real thing (turkeys) in our yard at the feeders too - they love the ground stuff! I had fun making this. Now we're all in trouble. Thanks for watching it!

WICKED H - You're a corker! I should have mentioned our leaning tower - yes! Guess we had some strong wind before the snow. lol Glad you took the time to click 'play' ... thanks!!

You bird brain, it is snowing outside and the cross winds must be awful. You are suppose to have air traffic control keeping safe seperation, what if one of those wide bodies decides to land on top of the little feeders. Oh the horror! It is so nice to see you gamefully taking pics and posting. We are having our first cold night tonight.

MYSTIC - Hey! I never put in for this job as air traffic controller! Ed thought we should put out a few more feeders but I have a hunch if we did that we'd just need a few more again in no time. You're FIRST cold night? Hmph. We had single digits last night and that on top of three inches of pure ice the night before. Ew.

I loved that. The combination of the birds (which, as we know, make me extremely happy and eager to point out the BIRDS to everyone (usually Keem)) and Anne Murrary's Snowbird just made me smile. Which makes me wonder why I don't have any Anne Murrary on my i-Pod.

I love living in the city but miss seeing the birds and the stars regularly. Thanks for helping me get a partial fix.

Thanks for dropping in.

The play button doesnt seem to work for me...maybe its the lack of steam in the old 486 here.

I was reading through your comments sections...boy oh boy, do you ever have a great cheering section! What a lot of good people.

CARPEDM - Well if anyone else would appreciate the birds like I do I could have figured it would be you! Glad you liked the tune too ... I love Anne Murray. Now - go get some on your thingy. Yes, I call it a thingy. Thanks for viewing it Dana!

STAG - Sorry it wouldn't work for you. It wasn't long ago I was was working with dial-up here and I know how frustrating it can get. Hope you like it enough in here to stop in for tea again. :)

I will be coming North of the Mason Dixon Line on Friday. I will not venture into NJ but will view the Flat State from the Del Memorial Bridge. I could go over to Atlantic City for a day. I will return South for Christmas. Tonight will be our second night of Freezing Temps. Two days is enough. We go back to the sixties tomorrow.

Thanks for the comments on my "rant" blog....that blog is where I blow off steam. The comment you made on the dancer....
I could not get the dancer spinning on my blog...for some reason blogger refused to let it happen, but you can see the original animated picture at http://www.mindfields.org.uk/blog/

scroll about halfway down or maybe a little more, and you will find the animation. The dancer is spinning on THEIR blog...but not on mine. What I find rather revealing is that on my blog, all you see is a sillouette, and yet you saw her from behind rather than in front. Most men see her coming and most women see her going. Guess you fall right in line!!!!

And again, thanks bunches for dropping in....its nice to have visitors...even on my nasty old "rant blog"!

I love birds and winter is just time time to be able to see them much better. My two feeders don't get quite the traffic that yours do, though. Must be that smidgen of Bourbon that you toss on the seeds before emptying into the feeder. This looks like a fun thing to do and maybe I try over the holidays.

You've reminded me to refill our thistle feeder. Those little bastards are probably starving to death...

... no wait, every neighbor within 2 miles has a feeder too. Ha! Oh well, I'm filling it anyway.

Happy holidays, Merry Christmas, all of that. All the best to you in 2008!!!

We went to my older brother's house in the country on Christmas Day. He sure has a lot more (and different species) of birds at his bird feeder than I do at mine. Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones!
